Flaret

Terms of Service

Effective August 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Flaret (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App. During onboarding, you must provide your date of birth and explicitly confirm that you are 18 or older. By using Flaret, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate profile information and to keep it up to date.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you’ve violated these Terms, misrepresented your identity or age, or engaged in behavior that puts other users at risk.

4. Code of Conduct

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse other users; post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent; impersonate another person; use the App for commercial solicitation or spam; or attempt to circumvent any safety, verification, or moderation features.

We may automatically screen profile bios for spam, solicitation, contact information, harassment, and similar prohibited content, and we may remove or restrict content that violates this Code of Conduct.

We may automatically scan chat messages for phone numbers, social handles, links, and similar personal contact information. When detected, we may show an in-app safety warning; your message is still sent, and we keep a record that the warning was shown.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate this Code of Conduct, at our discretion, with or without notice.

5. Community Guidelines

Our Community Guidelines summarize the expectations in Section 4 in plain language. In short: be 18 or older; be respectful; do not post sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or harassing content; do not create fake profiles or impersonate others; do not spam or solicit; keep personal contact information in the App until you trust someone; meet only in public places; and report or block behavior that violates these rules.

The Community Guidelines are for convenience and education. If there is any conflict, these Terms control. Violations of the Guidelines or this Code of Conduct may result in content removal, account restriction, or termination.

6. Child Safety Standards

Flaret has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our Child Safety Standards describe that policy, how to report concerns, how we address prohibited content, and how to contact us about child safety.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the photos, bio, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Flaret a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display it within the App for the purpose of operating the service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.

8. Meeting Other Users — Safety

Flaret helps you find events and connect with other attendees, but we do not conduct criminal background checks or otherwise verify users’ identities beyond what’s stated in your profile.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, online and in person. Always meet in public places, tell a friend where you’re going, and use good judgment. Flaret is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the App.

9. Purchases

Flaret offers optional in-app purchases (“Flare Packs”) that provide additional Flares used to send Flares, boost your profile, or upgrade a Flare to a Power Flare or a Flaret. Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and all sales are final except as required by applicable law or the applicable app store’s refund policy — refund requests should go through Apple/Google, not Flaret directly.

Flares have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred between accounts, or refunded by us once spent within the App.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Support → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or the Code of Conduct above, without liability to you.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will meet compatible people, that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that events listed are accurate or still occurring.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flaret and its owners/operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including interactions with other users.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the App where practical.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless a different jurisdiction is required by mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.
